how My passion for creating videos began…

I love when I get asked the question “how did you get into filmmaking” because the truth is I have always loved capturing the moments around me.

Growing up in the late 2000’s meant that I was always fascinated with the new technology being introduced. I can recall my friends and I making videos on the infamous iPod Touch. However, I would say it wasn’t a passion until my freshman year in high school when my parents had bought me a GoPro. I began capturing nearly everything from basketball trick shots to just hanging out with my friends in our parents’ basements.

In the spring of 2015, I purchased my first DSLR camera which happened to be the Nikon D3300. Little did I know it would change my life forever. That summer, my friend and I traveled across the state of Iowa taking photos of anything that we found interesting.

After a year of photography experience, I was lucky enough to land an internship with the Iowa High School Athletic Association. I got the opportunity to shoot several state events including football, basketball, wrestling, etc. I loved every part of it, which led me to want to expand into video.

To this day, I still consider making weekly hype videos for my high school football team one of the biggest steps in my early film career. It opened my eyes to how many opportunities there are in the video production industry.

I graduated from the University of Iowa in the Spring of 2021 majoring in Cinematic Arts while also earning an Entrepreneurial Certificate. I worked in the Hawkeye Football Video Department for four years making videos for the athletes, fans, and most importantly Hawkeye Nation.

After graduation, I accepted a Video Marketing position with Bang Energy down in South Florida and have been living my best life in the Sunshine State ever since.

I am blessed with every opportunity that comes my way, and I hope you take time to look through my website as I believe it showcases my work in a style that truly represents who I am.
